Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1997 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. Half the World Away from Oasis was released by the group Oasis was made for an advertisement of John Lewis, and Nature Boy is a Nat King Cole cover. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding the piano in her attic, then becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music not to get a job or a hobby however, as a chance to improve. As a result, she began to write the music she composed herself. Her inspirations include famous authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her love for Bjork's style.
