Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely recognized with establishing the current study of eyewitnesses' memory, and also children's witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer, has won several prizes and grants. She has advised numerous administrations and agencies across the globe on policies and studies pertaining to child victims by the legal system. She acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional associations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman belongs to Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member, International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
